ENTRY LEVEL – Technical Support

The Technical Support position is located within our Operations Department at AWID and has a significant impact on the experience of our customer relationships. They must be capable of working independently, proactively recognizing where changes and improvements are needed and producing results with minimal supervision. Position is located in Morgan Hill. Hours after training period will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5pm.

Skills/ Requirements

3+ years working with access control, gate entry, security systems, card reader systems and/or AVI technologies.

Strong communication skills (both written and orally) and an ability to describe technical concepts, designs and requirements to individuals at all levels (technical and non-technical).

Ability to take ownership of initavites and programs to aid in delivering solutions.

Ability to work with a distributed team.

Essential Functions and Duties

Provide Technical Support assistance to our customers, consultants, partners and co-workers on the usage of AWID products. This is through our customer support web interface, email and phone calls.

Mediate and resolve issues impacting the customer using strong fault isolation and troubleshooting skills.

Consult with engineers and technicians as requested to assist with resolution of customer issues and take ownership of issues until resolved.

Communicate clearly and accurately with customers, representatives and co-workers.

Provide product, process and technical feedback and take corrective action as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
