DSP Software Enginer


Type: Full Time
Department: Engineering
Reports To: CTO

Description:


We are looking for a DSP engineer to design, develop DSP software and algorithm for AWID’s RFID interrogators. Successful candidate is expected to possess necessary expertise in using TI’s DSP, peripheral circuit and logic control through GPIOs for the tasks.

Responsibilities:


• Design and implement DSP algorithms for RFID application.
• DSP driver development and peripheral circuit design.
• Co-work with other hardware and software engineers to integrate the system.
• Develop relative tool software for DSP design.
• Maintain and support the software of current products in market.
• Laboratory test and debugging for product development.
• Write technical documents and reports according to company standard.
• Work closely with other engineers and business development staff to transform requirements into a product.

Requirements:


• At least 2 years of hands-on RFID (or similar) device development.
• Experience in using TI DSP and related development tools.
• Experience with general communication standards like USB2.0, RS232, I2C, etc.
• Ability to work closely with engineering and business development staff and/or customers.
• Innovative thinking, high motivation and energy.
• Willingness to learn.
• MS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related.

Technical Support / RMA Technician


Type: Part Time, 8:00am – 2:00pm M - F
Department: Operations
Reports To: Manager, Technical Support
Salary: DOE

Responsibilities:


• Primary responsibilities include telephone and email support working with customers to troubleshoot installation questions.
• Expert level troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Failure analysis, repair products and test repaired items
• Assist Engineering with testing new products
• Assist RMA Department in Repairing products
• Interact with Customer Service, Engineering, Product Management and Production as needed to resolve production problems.
• Effectively communicate in meetings, in written form, and in one-on-one conversations with peers, supervisor, and others.
• Document work, so that instructions and descriptions can be understood and re-used.

Experience:


• A minimum 2 years experience providing technical support to customers hardware or software
• Be able to work cross-functionally with Sales, Production, and Engineering.
• Interpret engineering schematics, diagrams and technical specifications.
• Soldering skills

Requirements:


• Associate’s degree in electronics technology, or 3+ years in a technical position
• RFID experience or ability to quickly comprehend RFID technology.
• Analytical test equipment knowledge a plus.
